Reminiscing S-A-I… Sai – Antaryami – Indweller… On Sri Sathya Sai Aradhana Mahotsavam…

Prasanthi Nilayam today reminisced the nostalgic beauty of ‘The Beauty Beyond Compare’, The Love That Conquers, Sri Sathya Sai, observing the holy Sathya Sai Aradhana Mahotsavam in His immediate Divine OmniPresence. Today marks the transition of His Avataric frame from the finite to the infinite, as human intellect love to perceive. It was on this very day, 24th April, in 2011 that Bhagawan had willed to leave His mortal frame sending across the reassuring message of His EverLasting Presence. Marking the grand occasion, commencing the proceedings this morning, a pan-India ensemble of 300 Carnatic vocalists, also joined by an enthusiastic Carnatic vocalist from overseas, presented the traditional ‘Sai Pancharatnas’ at the Sanctum Sanctorum in His ever-reassuring OmniPresence. The offering that is fashioned in the popular Thyagaraja Pancharatna tradition comprised 5-gems set to five different ragas, focusing on different tenors.

The Kritis were: Pranamaami Sayeesha… in Ragam Gambhira Nattai, in Adi TaalamSadaa Bhavayami in Ragam…Mayamalava Gowla…, in Adi TaalamCharana Sevanam… in Ragam Arabhi, in Adi TaalamKaliyuga Avataari… Ragam Todi and Sathya Sai Avatara Vaibhavam… in Ragam Madhyamavarthi, in Adi Taalam. The 5-gems were composed by Dr R Vasanthalakshmi of Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music, with music composition by Raj Kumar Bharathi, great grandson of illustrious freedom fighter and Tamil poet Subramanya Bharathiar. The Kritis-5 captured the quintessence of Sri Sathya Sai, Whose ever-expansive glory can be summarised by the perceptive human minds as Sanathana Sarathi…Sathyam Sivam Sundaram. Reflecting hearts many they sung in unison, Sathya Sai Avatara Vaibhavam, Nithyanoothanam… Sathya Sanathanam.

Lauding the embodiment of knowledge Dakshinamurthy, quoting Adiguru Shankaracharya through Guru Ashtakam, the speaker highlighted on the importance of worshiping Supreme Sathya Sai.  Addressing next, Sri Nimish Pandya, AIP, SSSSO spoke of the absolute need of humility in man’s life. Man who would go round God in worshipping places finally found God Supreme going round of him, granting the beauty of darshan, highlighted the speaker, talking on Bhagawan’s practising humility. About the month-long Sadhana Aradhana schedule by the SSSSO, Giving And Forgiving, the AIP stressed on the importance of practising simple yet profound values, while practising Constant Integrated Awareness focusing on Sri Sathya Sai.

Bhagawan’s Divine discourse next was on the theme OneNess… the One God… reiterating the True Truth that ‘you and Me are One’.

Commemorating the occasion, marking the month running into the festivity, a month-long Sadhana Aradhana schedule, ‘Giving And Forgiving’ was observed by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations – India and Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation, from March 24th until the D-day. Every single day in this special ‘sadhana-month’ was decorated with specific spiritual practice, chalked out of Bhagawan’s timeless techings. The day is also observed worldwide as Human Values Day by the SSIO, marked by various programme initiatives. In his message on the occasion Dr. Narendranath Reddy, Chairman, SSIO urged fellow pilgrims to tread the path of gratitude, offering oneself as a flower of worship, serving the planet by treading softly, moving reverentially, utilising Mother Earth’s resources gratefully. Back in Prasanthi Nilayam, a Maha Narayana Seva was organised at the Hill View Stadium, serving thousands from Puttaparthi and allied villages, with food and clothing.
