Auspicious Yugadi In Prasanthi Nilayam…

Man is living a life sharp in contrast to what our ancients had foreseen and practised, said Bhagawan, calling for Unity In Diversity, practising Gratitude.  Bhagawan’s recorded Divine discourse aired through the public address system delivered the much needed fillip for the vast assemblage of devotees today, on the auspicious Ugadi morning here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.

The session this morning commenced with Rudram chanting by the contingents of Yuvasamaikya Parthi Yatra. Sri Prakash Rao, veteran devotee from Andhra Pradesh, then delivered a short Telugu speech delving on the inner significance of the festivity. He identified Nama Sankirtanam, Nagara Sankirtanam and Samaj Seva as the three important components as per Bhagawan’s teachings that lead man to his ultimate goal. He then introduced the ensuing session of Ugadi Panchanga Patanam.

Sri Kuppa Siva Subrahmanya Avadhani Garu, noted Vedic Scholar and Principal of the TTD Veda Vijnana Peetham in Tirumala, then delivered the Panchanga Patanam, divulging in detail on the significance and the annual forecast.

Bhagawan’s Divine discourse followed next, aired on the public address system. Man thinks that human hearts can be changed through education, but it is following a distorted path, developing animal traits, entertaining demonic attitudes, wasting the life altogether. Spirituality is the annihilation of animal traits, transforming oneself into Divine. Man is forgetting such beautiful innate spiritual nature. Festival is not celebration of gaiety, but pondering over the significance, connecting with the inner potential. The day when the heart entertains Love Principle, suffusing the same with an attitude of Sacrifice, that day becomes real Yugadi, discoursed Bhagawan.

Entire Sai Kulwant premise was beautifully decorated with symbolic festive greenish tinge – “Pachchathoranam” – parading all over. “Pachchathoranam”is a sign of prosperity and auspiciousness.

Even as bhajans commenced, various institutional and student groups made a bee-line to the Sanctum Sanctorum offering ‘greetings’ to Beloved Bhagawan on the occasion.

Mangala Arathi at 0945 hrs. marked the end of the morning proceedings.
