Prasanthi Vidhwan Mahasabha – Day-6…

Today is Maha Navami, the penultimate day of the grand Dasara festivity. As Prasanthi is brimming in the festive fervour, the twin Yajnas, the Dasara Saptaha Jnana Yajna and Prasanthi Vidhwan Mahasabha, moved into day-6 today. The evening session of the Prasanthi Vidhwan Mahasabha witnessed a scholarly speech, Bhagawan’s Divine discourse and a scintillating dance offering in the hallowed Prasanthi Nilayam.

The session commenced at 1640 hrs. with Vedic invocation by the students of the Prasanthi Nilayam campus.

Addressing the august assembly in the overcast evening, the speaker for the day, Dr (Ms) Suma Rao from the Anantapur campus of SSSIHL spoke on the ‘Unbounded Love Of The Supreme Mother Divine’. Beginning her talk with a reference to ‘That Unbounded Love Of Mother Sai…’, the speaker asked, ‘how does one understand ‘The Love so big?’ opening up, presenting a thesis on ‘The Love That Conquers, in the next half-an-hour.

Love that is welling up from within can create an action and emotion resulting into virtues, observed Dr. Suma, narrating a beautiful story involving a surgeon and a poor, famished villager, wherein a mere act of providing food for the hungry finally resulted in saving the poor from committing a big sin of robbery. Observing that Bhagawan has provided us with the right setting, to nurture, nourish and practise virtues, Dr. Suma then narrated a beautiful personal experience, of That Perennial Flow Of Divine Mother’s Love…, experienced very much in His immediate Divine Presence, in 2011.

Gratitude is the only emotion that one can offer to our Divine Mother, said the speaker in conclusion, offering a  on behalf of the groping humanity that, only in His Presence… Only by His Touch Of Love and Grace… that virtues can be born, lower impulses turn into higher impulses… thus one can reach Divinity… beseeching further to keep all close and never to forsake.  A rousing round of applause awaited the inspirational speaker, as she concluded.

Bhagawan’s Divine discourse followed next, relayed on the public address system. God cannot be comprehended, or measured by any means, reminded Bhagawan, discoursing in detail on the three types of proofs or Pramanas, namely, Pratyaksha Pramana or direct experience, Inference or Anumana Pramana and proof based on sound or Sabda Pramana. Identifying Sabda Pramana as authentic, Bhagawan then explained its two derivatives, Vaidika Pramana and Aloukika Pamana, Vedic testimony and testimony beyond the world. Kindness to living beings is equal to loving God; a person who does not have kindness to beings does not have love for God; a person who does not have love for God does not have fear of sin; a person who lacks love for God and fear of sin lacks morality in society, exhorted Bhagawan pointing at His famous axiom, ‘Daiva Preeti, Paapa Bheeti, Sangha Neeti’.

The final offering in the evening was a thematic dance programme titled ‘Jagat Janani’, offered by the students of Prasanthi Dance Group comprising students from Bhagawan’s Educational Institutions. Along with varied colourful themes of the Ultimate Mother Divine, the Mahisashura Madanam, annihilation of the demon Mahishasura was shown in the waning twilight, in the backdrop of the soulful ‘Aigiri Nandini Nanditha Medhini’, the heart-wrenching Mahishasura Mardini Strotram.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.

Tomorrow is Vijaya Dasami. Maha Poornahuthi will be offered to sacrificial pit at the Poornachandra Yajna Vedhi tomorrow morning between 0830-0900 hrs. marking the grand-finale of the Dasara Saptaha Jnana Yajna.
