Auspicious Maha Shivarathri In Prasanthi Nilayam

Today is auspicious Maha Shivarathri, the Great Night Of Lord Shiva! Engulfed with a euphoric feeling of golden days in the past, of the times with Beloved Bhagawan Who is verily Shiva-Shakthi incarnated, Prasanthi turned resplendent this auspicious morning charged with holistic vibrations. Colourful and comprehensive themes paraded all over decorating the otherwise dazzling venue, the Sai Kulwant Hall, with the Sanctum Sanctorum shining with Divine effulgence.

Following the tradition, heralding the auspiciousness of the day, university percussion band comprising of Nadaswaram and Panchavadyam troupes played separate stints post the regular Rudraparayanam at 0820 hrs commencing the morning proceedings.

A devotional vocal session ensued next, interspersed with commentary on the unmatched glory of Lord Supreme Sai Shiva. Commencing with Vishwanathashtakam, the session next registered ‘Shambho Shiva Shankar…’, ‘Shivoham, Shivoham, Chidananda Roopa Shivoham Shivoham…’, ‘Hari Om Namah Shivaya…’, ‘Sevikka Vendum Ayya…’ (both Carnatic numbers) and the evergreen ‘Lingashtakam’.

Spare not a single breath, waste not a single moment, cry out to Him from every cell of your body, and He will not disappoint, He Is Shiva, He Is Sai, He Is Yours, echoed the students presenting the final number, ‘Om Shivoham…Om Shivoham…’ for the auspicious morning, setting the stage for the most auspicious night, just hours away.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
