Ayudha Puja in Prasanthi Nilayam

Following the set Prasanthi tradition, Ayudha Puja was observed in His immediate Divine OmniPresence in Sai Kulwant hall this auspicious Durgashtami morning in Prasanthi Nilayam. Commencing at 0830 hrs, to the accompaniment of Vedic chants and bhajans, various vehicles blessed and sanctified by Bhagawan’s physical touch, including the Golden Chariot, were worshipped in the morning, attended by senior office bearers, students and staff.

Ayudha Puja is traditionally officiated on the eighth day of the Navaratri Festival. Customarily, implements used for livelihood are worshipped on this day, a symbolic affair reminding man of Supreme Divine grace. In Prasanthi Nilayam, it has been customary to worship the vehicles used by Bhagawan during the occasion, a custom set by Bhagawan in person decades ago.

Vedam and bhajans accompanied the function that ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
