Sathya Sai Mirpuri College Of Music is Bhagawan’s priceless courtesy to the world of music. Being aware of the intense, immense grace filled in the Divine Package of blessing that had its inception in His immediate physical Presence, the talented pool of musicians from the college comes back to the centre-stage at Prasanthi Nilayam time and again, scoring music for Him, the Supreme Musician at every possible occasion.
This evening, grabbing yet another opportunity, the students at SSMCM coupled with students at Dept. Of Music, SSSIHL, Prasanthi Nilayam presented a garland of beautifully woven melody, entitled ‘Sur Sevita Sai’ at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam. Beginning with a Saraswati Vandana in Raag Basant set in Teental singing Jaya Jaya Hey Bhagavati SuraBharati…, the session went on for a hour with a collection rare gems that included a veena recital, a tabla ensemble delivering rhythmic beats, a hindustani number, a Mira bhajan to end with a Qawwali, to name a few. The programme ended aptly, with the students singing out loud ending the qawwali, Jeena Hey Sai Ka Dil…
Bhajans next ended with ‘Sunday Special’, Bhagawan’s Divine voice resonating with the bhajan, ‘Prema Muditha Manase Kaho…’
