Kavana Vijayam – Jayatu Jayatu Sai…An Ensemble Of Poets at Sai Sannidhi

Today, on the penultimate day of the grand Prasanthi Dasara festivity, the Prasanthi Vidhwan Masabha took a detour from the regular proceedings presenting a unique event, an ensemble of poets, Kavi Sammelan this evening here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.

Titled as Kavana Vijayam – Jayatu Jayatu Sai, the session featured ten reputed poets from across Andhra Pradesh serenading The Supreme Divine with their poetic prowess, a special gift of grace bestowed upon by Goddess Sai Saraswathi HimSelf. The ten poets featured this evening were, Vidhwan Gandaluri Dattatreya Sarma, Sri PP Ranga Reddy, Sri Eluru Yenganna, Sri Elavarthy Ramanaiah, Sri KV Muralidhar Rao, Sri Karanam Madhusudhan Rao, Sri M. Suryanarayana Moorthy, Sri Ankaiah, Sri Shyam Sundara Shastri and Sri VSR Moorthy, who personally moderated the event.

All the renditions this evening were personal compositions, rendered for the first time in public.

Earlier, Dr. KN Naresh, Post-doctoral Research Fellow, Dept. of Biosciences, SSSIHL, Prasanthi Nilayam Campus,  introduced the session with a series of beautiful poetic rendition in adoration to the Poet of all poets, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai HimSelf. Sri Naresh reminded the audience of Prof. Kasturi’s poetic usage adoring Bhagawan, who chose to hail Him as Kaveenam Kavihi, meaning The Poet Of all poets.

As the session flowed on, meandering through the poetic lanes,  at every interlude Sri VSR Moorthy engaged himself in extolling the Divine with spontaneous poetic-bursts, well painted with add-on narratives.

The poetic session lasted over ninety minutes and all the participants were felicitated by senior officials at the end of the session. Dr. Naresh offered vote of thanks well supported by an appreciative audience with round of applause.

Students from the Prasnathi Nilayam Campus opened the session this evening with innovatory Vedic chanting.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Beloved Bhagawan.

Earlier, former Prime Minister of India, Sri HD Deve Gowda paid a visit to the Sanctum Sanctorum in the afternoon, paying obeisance to Beloved Bhagawan.

Maha Poornahuthi of the Jnana Saptaha Yajna will be offered tomorrow, on the auspicious Vijaya Dasami, at the venue, Poornachandra Auditorium.  The concluding session of the Prasanthi Vidhwan Mahasabha will feature a talk followed by an instrumental musical rendering by Kalaimamani Embar S. Kannan from Tamil Nadu.
