Grand Culmination Of Prasanthi Dasara…

After the Maha Poornahuthi to the Dasara Jnana Saptaha Yajna at the Poornachandra Auditorium this morning, the final session of the Prasanthi Vidhwan Mahasabha featured a scholarly speech followed by an instrumental musical offering this evening here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.

The session commenced at 1640 hrs. after invocatory Vedam by the girls from the Easwaramma English Medium High School. Prof. Shiva Shankar Sai, Director at SSSIHL, Prasanthi Nilayam Campus, addressing the assembly this evening spoke of  the after-effects of the Yajna that Bhagawan expects in each of the students, participants. Mukti or liberation can be attained only by transforming work into worship, said the speaker narrating a beautiful Interview Room experience he personally witnessed.

Deliberating on Bharatiya Culture and its supreme importance, Sri Shiva Shankar Sai explained the three related terms as explained by Bhagawan, Prakriti, Vikriti and Samskriti. Prakriti is one’s natural state or response, while Vikriti stands opposite to what Prakriti is, doing bad even to the one who does good to you. One need to embrace Samskriti, doing good to even the one who does harm to you. Navarathri festival in Prasanthi always stands for such subtle profound truths, reminded the speaker. Recalling the beauty of erstwhile Dasara celebrations decades ago in Prasanthi Nilayam, Sri Shiva Shankar Sai then narrated a couple of ‘mystical’ experiences, first one being that of Brig. Bose, who was revived back unto life, after a flash passing on, by the Hands Of Beloved Bhagawan on a Poornahuthi morning at the Poornachandra Auditorium, followed by that of the erstwhile care-taker at Brindavan, Sri Ramabrahmam, who had the rare good fortune to have the Virat Swaroop Darshanam.

In his closing remarks, the speaker reminded the audience of the Antar Yajnam, the inner yajna that is incessantly on within each of the being.  When one achieves equal-mindedness, one earns the real result, Poorna Samapti, of the inner yajna, reminded the speaker quoting Bhagawan.

An instrumental offering by noted Violinist Kalaimamani Embar S. Kannan and fellow musicians followed next. This evening he was accompanied by Sarvasree K. Satyanarayanan on the keyboard, Ganapati Subramaniam on Mridangam and Tabla and Ilavarasan Tambidurai on Electronic Drumpad.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
