Buddha Purnima – Day 2

Day-2 of the ongoing 2-day Buddha Purnima celebrations featured a speech, a skit, a musical dance drama, a video and Divine discourse this evening in Bhagawan’s immediate Divine OmniPresence at Prasanthi Nilayam.

Commencing the proceedings at 0520 hrs., Sri Ashok Sakhrani, Central Co-ordinator, Zone-5 of SSIO spoke on the theme of the celebrations ‘Dhamma – The Pathway To Nirvana’, interlacing with teachings of both Bhagawan and Buddha. Both Bhagawan and Buddha paved the way towards the final goal of Infinite Consciousness, said the speaker reminding the audience of the absolute importance of living the life meaningfully, not allowing the thief of material comforts to snatch away the opportunity of Nirvana.

Bhagawan stressed on the importance of ‘Faith In Surrender’, said the speaker reminding the audience that our destiny lies in our hands. When we take a step, Bhagawan has promised to take a hundred. He ended his ‘enlightening’ speech with a reminder to Bhagawan’s wisdom statement, ‘I Am I’.

Beautiful children from Sathya Sai School, Thailand then presented a short skit on the life of Siddhartha turned Buddha, illustrating the epochal story of enlightenment from 2500 years ago.

Balvikas children and young adults from Sri Lanka then offered a dance drama entitled ‘Mutiny Of The Mind’, a presentation that interprets the vagaries of the mind that takes man either way, upward or downward, based on how he utilises this faculty called mind.

A beautiful multi-lingual video on ‘Hari Bhajana Bina Sukha Shanti Nahi’ next was followed Bhagawan’s Divine discourse.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
