SSSIHMS – Whitefield, Bengaluru @ 16

Celebrating the 16th anniversary of Bhagawan’s ‘Bangalore Hospital’, second of  the twin Temples Of Healing instituted by Bhagawan as role model medical institutions, staff of SSSIHMS, Whitefield, Bangalore presented a special programme commemorating priceless recollections of the institution’s memorable journey this evening here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.

Sixteen years ‘younger’, surging ahead with great spirit and enthusiasm, the hospital stands a s beacon light providing ‘Divine Health Insurance’ to millions, absolutely free of cost, standing tall as an ideal institution.

It was on 19 January 2001 that the hospital was dedicated to service of humanity by the Divine Hands, in presence of the then Prime Minister Of India, Sri Atal Behari Vajpayee.

The presentation this evening took a parallel run with the holy Pandharpur – Parthi Dindi Yatra featuring twin travellers, Acharya Patil and Madhav. The story that began with a casual discussion evolved into a presentation unravelling the incomparable medical mission being run by the Temple Of Healing. The twin travel-mates in the Bangalore bound Pandharpur Express meet up during their journey, only to get engaged with their common tale of interest – Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam.

As the journey coincides with the 16th anniversary of SSSIHMS – Whitefield, Acharya Patil  with his unending enthusiastic devotion presents the anniversary evening session live from Puttaparthi to the co-passenger, thanks to the live streaming by Radio Sai from Prasanthi Nilayam, and thus the most unparalleled tale of Sri Sathya Sai’s role model Temple Of Healing at Whitefield, Bangalore this evening.

The ‘Live-Streaming’ from Prasanthi Nilayam featured couple of speeches  by Dr PK Dash, HOD Cardiology, Dr Kamakshi Kannan, a veteran medico from the Paediatric Dept., along with another Staffer, Sri Srinivas bringing in stories galore of the glory of Bhagawan’s unique medical mission.

Even as the duo reached Prasanthi Nilayam, the live-streaming mode turned into live-virtual-show, showing the remainder of the session. Dr DC Sundaresh, Director, SSSIHMS, Whitefield then addressed the august assembly, presenting an annual activity report. Speaking on various initiatives, on the ‘Visiting Cards’ shown by Bhagawan, Dr Sundaresh also mentioned about the smooth relocation of the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital from its previous location to the SSSIHMS campus, that was achieved in record time with precision. This was followed by an address by Dr Acharya, Medical Superintendent at the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital, Whitefield, Bangalore. Dr Acharya, divulging into his experience overseas as a medico linking it with the transition of the GH to its new location, also touched upon the new initiative of a New Wellness Centre. One more speech by a medico from the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital followed before the entire crew burst into a Marati Vittala devotional, marking the end of the programme.

Bhagawan’s Divine discourse followed next. Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi at 1900 hrs.
