Carnatic Instrumental Evening…

First evening of the 91st birthday celebrations of Bhagawan featured a Carnatic Classical Instrumental offering by Sri GD Phani Kumar, an accomplished Flautist who played along with Sri DVK Vasudevan, an upcoming Violinist. Hailing from Hyderabad, Sri Phani Kumar had an early exposure to the Indian Carnatic Music at the age of 9, and was later trained by the legendary Dr Annavarapu Ramaswami, an accomplished Violinist. Sri Vasudevan is currently doing his Phd in Music from the Mysore University after having his Masters done from the Madras University. Sri Vasudevan was a disciple of by Dr Annavarapu Ramaswami. read more »

Twenty Four hours into its initiation, Akhanda Bhajan 2016 for Universal Peace came to a close at 1800 hrs. with Mangala Arathi this evening here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.
