Bharata Digvijayam – Vidya Vahini Rally on Bharatiya Culture…

Many are the attributes that Bhagawan draws unto HimSelf, most involuntarily, simply by living His Life as His Message. It ranges from being the Cosmic Creator to Cosmic Director to Cosmic Preceptor and the list goes on… Among all these, there is one unique attribute, that of being the Divine Promoter, the Promoter of Bharatiya Sanskriti (culture), that has a unique bearing with the whole world at large. Bhagawan would often speak on the incomparably unique Bharatiya Culture, hailing Bharat as the Engine, with the rest of the countries forming as coaches.

This morning, as the 5th anniversary of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini celebrations continued here, it was this unique theme, Bharateeya Sanskrit that claimed the highlight at the Divine Abode in Prasanthi Nilayam.

Joining the celebrations, over 1200 children from selected Vidya Vahini Schools across India participated in an impressive rally, from the Yajur Mandiram to the Sai Kulwant Hall, entitled “Bharata Digvijayam” depicting the unique ‘Bharateeyam’.

Uniquely, the rally containing 18 tableaus representing cultural and spiritual heritage of the land was led by the characters of great Adi Shankarachaya along with his four main disciples. As Adi Shankara took the privilege of explaining the uniqueness of Bharatiya Culture in the immediate Divine Presence, scenes from Bharat’s great cultural, spiritual past filed past, flashing glimpses of unparalleled glory galore. Ranging from Epical tales to… Vedic lore, temple legends, musical and poetic greatness, heroic tales, the unending variety of various kalas, greatness of Motherhood, greatness of Gurus, Nature as teacher, greatness of womanhood, Shakti – The Divine Mother, Tricolour and freedom movement, Indian freedom fighters, the ‘Mama Dharma’ principle of Bhagavad Gita…  the rally presentation in a nutshell reiterated the bottom-line of the unquestionable truth called ‘Bharat’, that She will stand up and rise again, as it is His Will.

An oath of dedication to Motherland and to the founding principle of Bharat that, I am God, followed next, as the beautiful children repeated after ‘Adi Shankara’.

After a beautiful song of summarization, next phase of presentation ensued featuring a couple of speeches and felicitation ceremony.

Sri Sathyajit, introducing the session, appreciated the indomitable spirit of the children participants, whose smiling faces ironed out the ‘wrinkles of worries’ of the organizers in the face of an overcast sky offering persistent drizzling showers in the morning.

Sri K Chakravarthi, Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Centtal Trust, addressing first, recalled the modest beginning of the programme five years ago that has now grown into massive proportions, spreading the whole of the country.
