A Power-Packed Devotional Evening as SSE Conference concludes…

Marking the valedictory function of the 3-day Sri Sathya Sai Education Conference, SSIO, Sathya Sai International Organisation, presented an evening of reminiscence of Sai’ Love… expressing gratitude in Prasanthi Nilayam today.

The programme commenced with brief overview of the conference proceedings, shared by Ms. Katinka van Lamsweerde and Ms Berniece Mead, National Education Coordinators for The Netherlands and the United States respectively.

Speaking first, Ms Katinka gave a comprehensive summary of the conference, a reminder of the power and beauty of the spiritual tool called Sathya Sai Education.  Briefly touching upon various segments of the conference, with a special mention of the networking fare for delegates, Ms Katinka in her concluding remark identified special areas of attention, that being, the Importance of LOVE, Teacher’s COMMITMENT drawing inspiration from the conference, to inculcate FAITH in the teachings of Bhagawan and the need to CONNECT to children.

Ms Berniece Mead, a longstanding and outstanding Sai Educationist, spoke of the mysterious God’s hand that led her to Lord Jesus first,  at the age of 15, and to Sri Sathya Sai later… Delivering a short but sweet speech, filled with charm and wit, Ms Mead concluded singing a soulful “Love Is My Form… Truth Is My Breath…”.

Dr Srinivasa Raghavan from the United States then took the stage, strumming his guitar, singing, reproducing the Conference theme song “You Are My Everything Dear Swami…, You Are My Loving Lord Of All…, I See You… I See You… I See You In One And All…”, that turuned out to be an apt dedication of Love and Gratitude to Bhagawan, recalling His message of Oneness.

Devotees from Zone 7, Region 73 of SSIO belonging to Poland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia then presented a Sarva Dharma Choir, ably conducted by Ms. Maria Quoos from Poland. Squatting, facing the Sanctum Sanctorum, the group of men and women in blue ribbon scarves, women with white headband, demonstrated what is Unity as experienced by a heart with Purity, that practises His precepts.

Representing varied religion, singing the theme of Universal Religion, the group with awakened spirit  of Love and Oneness sang in ‘voice unison’, echoing “the The Language Of LOVE…” presenting a string of hymns in praise for The One God, sung in Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Hebrew, Jewish, English, etc. The evening turned twilight rejoiced every bit of the session,  immersed in The Unending Supreme Splendour Of LOVE called SRI SATHYA SAI.

Beginning with a Ganesha invocation, next came the Sarvadharma prayer “Om Tatsat Sri Narayana Tu…”, followed by “Na Punyam Na Papam…”, “Subhan Allah…”, “Whispering Hope…”, “Om Mani Padme Hum…”. “Om Shakti…” to name a few.

A final number “Om Shanti Om…” as per the Indian tradition marked the grand finale of the exuberant devotional evening, well received by an euphoric august assembly that went into rapturous applause in appreciation.

Bhajans continued and the session ended with Mangala Arathi at 1905 hrs.
