The Night-long Shivarathri Akhanda Bhajan culminated at 0600 hrs. with Maha Mangala Arathi here in Prasanthi Nilayam today.
The 12-hour non-stop bhajan saga that commenced at 1800 hrs. last evening continued through the night with enthusiastic batches of students and devotees participating with much devotional zeal.
Even as the night-long vigil continued, one could see hundreds of students engaged in chanting Ekadasha Rudram in a separate block inside the Mandir, a regular affair in Prasanthi on Shivarathri night.
Hundreds of students were spotted circumambulating the Ganesh Mandir inside the premises, worshipping the Primal Deity on the Auspicious Night.
The bhajans came to a close with twin numbers in Bhagawan’s mellifluous voice, “Om Shivaya… Om Shivaya…” followed by the customary final bhajan, “Subramaniam Subramaniam…”.
Maha Mangala Arathi was offered at 0600 hrs. Subsequently, special Prasadam, tamarind rice and sweet pudding, was served to the packed house of devotees.
