Celebrating Proximity With Sai – Sai Sannidhi Day…

Prasanthi Nilayam’s blessed darshan ground that had woven innumerable tales of Bond Of Love between Bhagawan and His students witnessed an absorbing evening of recollections, of some of those golden memoirs, when over 215 members of ‘Sai Sannidhi’ gathered at the Sai Kulwant Hall offering gratitude to their Beloved Swami, this evening here in Prasanthi Nilayam. The programme was organised by ‘Sai Sannidhi’ – the forum of grateful alumni – who are employed in various institutions under the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust.

Delivering the welcome note, introducing the ensuing programme, Sri Satyajit Salian spoke first, in his poetic prose narrative, about some of the ‘rare specials’- flutters, ripples, burning fires, thorns etc.,  that every student of Swami preserves in his heart’s chest. Mentioning about the speciality of the evening, Sri Satyajit said, for those kindred souls it is a day of proximity with the Divine Master, Who loved and inspired them and who in turn loved Him so dearly.

The evening session was segmented into three, bringing rare recollections from three different integral areas of Prasanthi Nilayam activity involving students, Vedam, Drama and Bhajans.

Innumerable are the lessons that students learnt at His Divine Lotus Feet and the blessed evening fondly chose to reminisce the wonderment of Love called Sri Sathya Sai. An intense, interesting ninety-minute session followed next with grateful hearts sharing and revealing some of the most intimate experiences, covering inception and evolution with emphasis on His ‘direct’ role in moulding each of the group.

Sarvasri KVSK Ganesh, Shyam Sharma and Amey Deshpande compeered the show for the respective segments with Sarvasri Vedanarayanan, Shiv Shankar Sai, Nandagioal, Praveena, Nageshwar Rao, Raghunath Sharma, Gowri Shankar, Sai Surendranath, Raviteja, Ravi Kumar and Siddhartha sharing wonderful experiences and insights, taking the audience through the history-lane of Vedam, Dramatics and Bhajans in Prasanthi Nilayam, ‘With Swami”.

The programme was interspersed with beautiful songs, some of them Bhagawan’s very special, the numbers Bhagawan would often demand encore, namely Mohabbat Ki Kami, Sri Raghavam etc…

Bhajans continued and ended with Bhagawan singing Love Is My Form…Truth Is My Breath… Mangala Arathi at 1900 hrs. marked the end of the proceedings.
