On this auspicious occasion let’s ask ourselves as to how do we remain connected to Him, while living ina world of material onslaught…? …and what exactly He means to us…? …what should be our prayer of surrender to Him…? as Sri Jullie Chaudhuri rhymes seeking His coveted darshan let’s join the chorus, tuning in, worshipping, beseeching the Supreme Teacher, our Beloved Mother Sai!!!
Adrift was I..
…like a stringless kite…
…in a whirlwind…
With the onslaughts of material living,
…skinned…chagrinned…
Deep was a desire…
…from all things superficial,
…illusory and outward…
…to rescind…
A glimpse of Thy beauteous Lotus Feet…
…did me…forever endear…
Oh! Glorious Saviour,
Endlessly I find You near…
Whispering constantly, gently, soothingly -
My child…My sweet child…
Why fear…when I Am here…
Know this My little fledgling,
Understand this for sure,
That,
Even as you…
…each moment do courageously endure,
Ceaselessly do I shield you,
You…I enclose evermore…
…safe in My arms…
Have faith do not falter…
Wholeheartedly to Me…
…when you do surrender,
When your dedication, devotion, discipline…
…is determinedly sincere…
At the same time,
My pronouncements when you try…
…consistently to adhere…
Then, be aware, dear child,
Through the travails of existence,
Your life…
…I…Myself do steer…
My Lord…my dear sweet Lord,
My precious Gurudeva,
How can I express what You mean to me…?
It is quite impossible for me to convey…
…how much I do You adore and revere…
…You, I hold wholly dear…
Shepherd me kindly,
I implore Thee,
Guide my essence, my entity…my journey…
…away from an unrefined veneer…
My association with past follies,
And inconsistencies,
Help me sever…
Enhance my substance…
…my ability to exude Your love so pure,
Overcoming barriers…
…beyond earthly frontiers…
Oh! Cherished Gurudeva…
My Beloved One…
I seek Thy compassion -
…draw, nurture, retain and sustain…
…this child of Yours,
Forever within Your eternally exalted,
Marvelously mystical…
…and gloriously transcendental sphere,
Forever keep me close…
I plead Thee…
Perpetually remain near,
I do longingly beseech Thee…
Thy Omnipresence is dear…
…most certainly, absolutely, completely…
Yet,
I must say this truly, honestly, directly -
For Thy Golden Presence…
…I am always equally eager,
Your image is apparent…
…in each and every drop of tear…
This is true of all those that love You…
As well as every adoring heart too,
That embraces You with exacting fervor,
Yearning and craving… for You…
…their ultimate Guru…
…the Guru of all gurus to come forth…
…emerge and appear…
Thus…today…
On the sacrosanct occasion of Gurupurnima…
…this present year…
…this cosmically beneficial boon…
…kindly do upon creation…
…generously, graciously, liberally…
…confer…confer…confer…
Oh! Immortal Nectar…Oh! Gurudeva…
Fulfil every devout soul’s sole desire…
Oh! My Gurudeva…Oh! My Supreme Treasure…
Along with a zillion ardent salutations,
I offer to Thee,
My love…my life…and all that I am,
Abidingly,
For You are and ever will be…
My loving…loving Mother,
Father, God and Master…
Incomparably matchless…
Unsurpassably sovereign…
…You remain…
My Beloved Gurudeva…
Alas! How I long and crave for Thee…
Thy amaranthine Grace…
…most humbly do I seek,
To dance an eternal dance,
…upon the delightfully joyous pages of my memoir…
