Sai Naad Varshini, Offering by Music College…

Today, in the fifth evening of Prasanthi Vidwan Mahasabha, students from Sri Sathya Sai Music College offered a Musical Offering entitled ‘Sai Naad Varshini’, at the Sanctum Sanctorum here in Prasanthi Nilayam. The half-an-hour offering was composed of vocals and instrumentals played with precision by the talented bunch of students and faculties.

Earlier, the fifth session commenced with special invocation by the students from the Muddenahalli campus of SSSIHL.

First speaker for the session was Dr Subhash Subramaniam, Asst. Professor, Dept. Of Management Studies, SSSIHL, Prasanthi Nilayam. Speaking with reference to the ongoing twin Yajna, Veda Purusha Saptaaha Jnaana Yajna and the Grama Seva Yajna, both of which were ordained by Bhagawan specifically, Subhash spoke of the third Yajna that happens every moment, all the time. Elucidating further on the theme in detail, he spoke of the three essential requisites to carry on successfully with this ongoing Yajna. The conditions are: to live in the present, being in acceptance and discovering one’s true nature. Talented with musical prowess, Dr. Subhash intertwined his scholarly speech with beautiful songs, couplets and anecdotes.

The Guest Speaker for the evening was Dr Medasani Mohan, an illustrious name in the Telugu and Sanskrit literature. Dr. Mohan enthralled the audience with his rhetoric excellence speaking on ‘Soundharya Lahiri’ , epochal scholarly piece authored by Adi Shankara.

Today, being Ayudha Puja, a special function was held in the Mandir worshipping ‘Sai Vahan’, various vehicles that had been blessed by His touch including the Golden Chariot. Even as students chanted Vedam followed by Bhajans, Senior Trust officials and Secretary of SSSCT, along with other senior devotees broke coconuts at every blessed vehicle worshipping each one of them.

Today on the 7th day of the Sri Sathya Sai Grama Seva-2012, the following villages of the Puttaparthi madal were served: Yenumulapalli, Brahmanapalli, Brahmanapalli Tanda, Beedupalli, Badenaik Tanda, Gonenaik Tanda, Kappalabanda, Jagarajupalli, Venkatagaripalli, Kasi colony, Bathalappali, Paipalli, Rayalavandlapalli. Tomorrow being the penultimate day of this years grama seva, remaining villages of the Puttaparthi and Bukkapatnam mandal will be served.
