Sri Sai Gana Sudha
Sunday, February 24th, 2013
On the second day of Adilabad Parthi Yatra, there was a music programme titled “Sri Sai Gana Sudha” by two exceptionally talented visually challenged singers, Roshan Rajan
and Ritvik Rajan.
They were accompanied by four alumni from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. The singers after offering their salutations to Bhagawan expressed their gratitude to the Adilabad district Sri Sathya Sai Organisation for bestowing this opportunity to them. The melody duo began their performance with Ganesh Vandan “Gayiye Ganapati Jaga Vandan.”
They followed it up with a Telugu Bhajan “Manava Sevaye Madhava Sevani Bodhinchinadu Oka Baba” (Baba taught service to man is service to God). A few Prasanthi Bhajans like Parthiswara Sathya Saieswara,” Arunachala Shiva Arunachala Shiva, Hari Naam Gaate Chalo formed beautiful interludes to famous songs like Shiva Shankari Shivananda Lahari, sung by the famous singer of yesteryears, Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota’s evergreen number “Jag Mein Sundar Hai O Naam” and Suresh Wadkar’s ever echoing Abhang “Ee O Vitthale Bhaktajana Vatsale.”
They ended their performance spanning about an hour with the Qawali sung many a time in Bhagawan’s physical presence “Sai Bin Raha Na Jaye.” The performance was greeted with a thunderous applause from devotees assembled in Sai Kulwant Hall. The singers and accompanying artistes were honoured with clothes and mementoes. After a few Bhajans and a recorded Bhajan of Bhagawan “Govinda Krishna Vitthale Venu Gopala Krishna Vitthale,” the day’s programme concluded with distribution of Prasadam and Mangalarati at 6.20 p.m.
