Ganesha Immersion at Prasanthi Nilayam…
Sunday, August 27th, 2017
Prasanthi gave a grand farewell to Lord Ganesha, came in 21 different hues, which were taken for a symbolic immersion this evening in the immediate Divine OmniPresence. The ‘immersion’ of Lord Ganesha idol represents man’s evolution from Sakara to Nirakara. Ganesha immersion on the third day of Ganesh Chaturthi has been a dotted event, most boisterous, in the Prasanthi festive calendar for many years, often blessed by the incomparable physical presence of Beloved Bhagawan.
This evening, marked by its overcast beauty, the proceedings began at 1600 hrs with scores of Ganeshas making ‘their’ regal entry into the Sai Kulwant Hall. Marching in, exhibiting festive hustle and bustle, Ganeshas, numbering 21, in fanciful shapes and decor, were arrayed in a disciplined order covering the entire stretch of Bhagawan’s darshan pathway. The theme for the evening ranged from echo friendly Ganesha to Elixir Of Life… Water, to famed cartoon character Ninja to Dilz Express… train carrying The Lord, to many more.
After a complete round of circumambulation of the Mandir by the students and staff of various institutions, students from the Primary and Higher Secondary wing of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School presented three virulent dance offering, paying obeisance to The Master Supreme.
Marking the ‘final’ journey, each group then came forward paying obeisance to Bhagawan before setting for ‘immersion’.
Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi at 1800 hrs.
