Today, being Ayudha Puja, a special function was held at 0800 hrs. in the Sai Kulwant Hall, worshipping ‘Sai Vahan’, vehicles that had been blessed by Bhagawan’s touch, including the Golden Chariot. Even as students chanted Vedam followed by bhajans, Senior Trust officials and Secretary of SSSCT, joined by other senior devotees, worshipped each vehicle, breaking coconuts at each one of them. The special function concluded with Mangala Arathi at 0815 hrs.
Ayudha Puja is traditionally done on the ninth day of the Navaratri Festival. Immediately after the function, students circumambulated the Mandir before proceeding for the Grama Seva field. Today is the 8th day of the Grama Seva activities.
In the Poornachandra Auditorium, the Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna is into its penultimate day today. The proceedings began at 0700 hrs. and after a brief pause for Mangala Arathi at 0930 hrs., the Yajna continued.
