Why, Oh! Why Am i…Beloved Mother Sai…?
Wednesday, August 27th, 2014
He is the Adhar… The Basis of every jeeva…and the entire creation… When He, Being The Adhar, The Basis, engages Himself in hide n’ seek, deluding and eluding, how about the devotee’s feeling, the feeling of pangs of separation…??? Rightly asks Sri Jullie Chaudhuri “Are my tears known to Him…?” rhyming Why, Oh! Why Am i…Beloved Mother Sai…?
…He fills every cell of my being…yet i miss Him…
…He is in everything around me…
Yet, everything seems like nothing…without Him…
More than -‘Who am i…?’
…i ask myself ‘Why…oh why am i…?’
…for having witnessed the Presence Supreme…
…as did the virtuous Gopikas in vistas serene…
…whether its Brindavan or Prashanti Madhuvan…
…the soul finds existence barren…
…and the wilting heart turns dispiritedly dry…
…for the essence is lonely for Beloved Mother Sai…
Are my tears known to Him…?
…every teardrop glistens with radiant images of Him…
Are my sighs heard by Him…?
…every sigh is a whispered longing for Him…
Is my pain known to Him…?
…in the course of daily living…
…myriad chores brim…
…both – the long term and the interim…
…mundane associations not related to the inner rhythm…
…is a painful separation from Him…
How much longer will this breath last without Him?
How much longer should my space face this deficience…?
He is Omniscient…yet pretends nescience…
…as in the era of Dwapar…
…along the banks of the Yamuna…
…immersed in the mesmeric sound of the Flute…
…blending with that incomparable ambience…
…now too…
…shrugging off the material transience…
…the soul perennially seeks an audience…
…with Him…
Come to me, my Lord,
…please acquiesce to my pleas for Thee…
Come to me, my Lord…
…favourably bless my quest for Thee…
Of what use is a flower without its fragrance…?
Of what use is air sans oxygen…?
…of what use the eyes lacking in sight…?
…of what use the mind devoid of insight…?
Though drenched in Thy Omnipresence…
…i make no pretense…
…following the footprints of ardent devotees of yore…
…adoration that did implore Thee evermore…
…inspired by their core…their truth…not mere folklore…
…finding the material lure…
…bereft of attraction…repelling, base and impure…
…my craving for Thee does consistently intensify…
Thus so,
…i surrender my soul to Thee,
…completely on Thee do i rely…
…Come and clarify…
…i seek an answer to my passionate quest -
‘Why am i still here…oh, why, why, why am i…?’
…come, kindly answer me…
…my Beloved Lord…Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai…
