Guru Purnima in Sathya Sai’s Presence…

Adoring The Feet of the Supreme Teacher, Prasanthi’s privileged agenda every year, students from SSSIHL offered ‘Guru Vandana’ on this auspicious Guru Purnima morning here in Prasanthi Nilayam.
Setting the tone with a string of strotras, starting with Akhanda Mandalakaram… from sacred Guru Gita, the programme continued with a couple of Carnatic songs and traditional songs interspersed with SaiNatha Ashtakam.
Four convener’s from different states, representing Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, then addressed the assembly elucidating on the service activities of Bhagawan’s Organisation. Speaking first, Sunil Dahal, from Pakyong Samithi, Sikkim expressed heartfelt feelings of gratitude to Bhagawan for His Special Token Of Love…Bhagawan’s Robe, that were distributed to Samithi Conveners last evening. Stating that these Robes are so special as they represent Bhagawan, he then narrated the story of transformtion of a notorious youngster into a full time devotee, who was accidentally brought to Prasanthi Nilayam in the 90s.
Munish Sarma, from Shimla. Himachal Pradesh spoke eloquently in Hindi next, narrating the story of his Samithi that does wonderful service activities in a locality that cannot boast of having rich econony. One can visit the locality to feel a mini-Prasanthi Nilayam over there, said Munish Sarma who further read out Bhagawan’s letter, written to the State President prior to His 2010 visit to the State, promising to visit the State during His Delhi visit.
Sainath from Panaji, Goa, the third speaker, spoke about Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation in brief. Activities of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations are well laid down, planned out that, implementaion of the same becomes a Sadhana, said Sainatha stressing on the service activities of SSSSO.
Dr Sanjiv, from Eranakulam, Kerala was the final speaker. Conveners should be role models reflecting Swami’s teachings and they should effectively run the show of Samithis coordinating all the three wings of activities effectively. He then elaborated i about the Organisational activities coupled with Bhagawan’s teachings, in meeting its end. He ended with a hope that all should become Sai devotees.
Earlier Sri N Ramani, All India Vice President, SSSSO – India, introduced the speakers to the august assembly.
Book release by Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini followed next. Second edition of ‘Sameep’ Arts & Crafts book for children was released presenting them to the tiny tots of Sri Sathya Sai Primary School and Sri Sathya Sai Easwaramma School. Another book on Lesson Plans & Kits was also released by Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini on the auspicious occasion.
Bhagawan’s ‘electtrifying Divine discourse’ followed next, played on the public address system. Human life is precious and Divinity inherent in human is more precious… Humanity is going through difficult times owing to man’s ignorance about his latent Divinity, said Bhagawan discoursing on…, stressing on… Love… exhorting man to live in Love… Bhagawan ended His Divine discourse with the bhajan “Prema Muditha Manasey Kaho…”
Bhajans continued and ended with Mangala Arathi at 1035 hrs.
