Holy Holi at Prasanthi Nilayam…

It’s holy time at Prasanthi. Celebrating the advent of the festival of colours, Balvikas children along with Youth from the twin states of Bihar and Jharkhand presented a colourful evening with a fusion of songs and dance at Prasanthi Nilayam yesterday.
Beginning the programme with a Ganesha Vandana, asking the mind to surrender at the Feet Of The Lord, the programme went on for an hour with an assortment of songs and dances, depicting the natural, cultural and spiritual heritage of the twin States.
The songs that followed were a Shiva Stuthi singing Shiva Shankari Ki Jai Ho…Sai Shankari Ki Jai Ho…, Jagamandha Vyaapinchina Daivamokkade, a song in Telugu, Kabdi Kabdi, a depiction of national game from Bihar Kabadi and the long rivers of Jharkhand, Ooncha Ooncha Pahad…a song depicting the natural beauty of Jharkhand, Tere Ghar Par Dayakar Sai…Merey Moula…Merey Moula, a Sufi number, Sathya Sai Ke Avatar…a gratitude song to end with a colourful Holi song…
Bhajans continued and ended with Mangala Arathi at 1820 hrs.
The twin States will continue their Holi celebrations this evening with a drama entitled “Kya Aapne Bhagawan Ko Dekha?”, depicting the illustrious journey of young Naren to Swami Vivekananda.
