Upholding Sanathana Dharma…

12 May 2013, Prasanthi Nilayam: Sanathana Dharma preached and practised by Bhagawan finds a new set of followers, who are willing to take the message of Bhagawan into the masses. Endeavouring to spread this foremost potential teaching by Bhagawan, ‘Sanathana Vaibhavam’ led by popular instrumental artist Smt Emani Lalita Krishna presented a Musical Offering at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet on 12 May evening in Prasanthi Nilayam.
This is the first of a proposed series of offerings by the group based out of Hyderabad, propagating Sanathana Dharma.
The evening’s concert had Smt Emani Lalita Krishna playing Chitra Veena, also known as Gottu Vadyam, followed by solo vocal by Sri Sai Pavan and flute instrumental by Sri Ramakrishna. Chitra Veena is a fretless lute for Carnatic Music.
Initiated into the world of Music at the tender age of 3 by her mother, Smt Emani Lalitha Krishna’s career began with her maiden performance as a child prodigy at the age of 7. During her formative years she was under the tutelage of renowned Violin Maestro Sri Annavarapu Ramaswamy of All India Radio, Vijayawada. Qualified with an M.A. in Veena and Diploma in Chitra Veena and with a stint atAIR as an “A” grade artist, Mrs Lalita Krishna had performed in many music festivals across the nation.
Producing Instrumental Ecstasy on the unique instrument at the Sanctum Sanctorum, the talented artist played for 50 minutes before setting the stage for another string of vocal and instrumental music. Sri Sai Pavan, a product of Sri Sathya Sai Mirpuri College Of Music, continued from where Mrs Krishna left, singing three Telugu solos, that included Bhairavi Manohari Sri Sai Shankari… Instrumental on flute followed, by Sri Ramakrishna, also a pass out from Sri Sathya Sai College Of Music, before the troupe burst into bhajans.
Artistes who accompanied the evening musical presentation were Sri Sudheer on Mridangam, Sri Sachin on Ghatam, Sri Hemant on Violin, Sri Gopal on Tanpura, Sri Kamesh on Tabla and Sri Chinna on Guitar.
At the end of the presentation all the participants were felicitated by the Trust Secretary. Bhajans ended with Sunday Special Govinda Krishna Vittaley…in Bhagawan’s Voice.
