Friday, October 12th, 2012
Continuing from yesterday’s musical bouquet “Sai Anandam” the visiting UK group “Sai Jyothi” presented yet another scintillating musical offering, a medley of devotional songs, this evening at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam.
Beginning with an instrumental playing to the tune of “Vande Uma Nandanam” invoking Lord Ganesha, the presentation progressed into a Hindi solo by Kaviraj Singh Dhadyalla followed by a medley of devotionals in English. Some of the numbers were “Why Fear When I Am Here…So Says Baba Sathya Sai Baba…”, Every Moment Of My Life Be With Me…Baba O Sai Baba…” winding up with “Sathyam Jnaanam Anantham Brahma”. The hour-long soul-stirring musical treat was well received with every song ending with rapturous applause from the assembly.
Earlier, the evening session began with Veda chanting by Pundits from Sri Sadguru Veda Patashala, Bangalore. Led by Dr Srinivasas Murthy, the group chanted a complete session of 45 minutes. Dr Murthy is an ardent devotee of Bhagawan and was also involved in training students at the Brindvan Campus in Vedam during the period 1991 to 1998.
