Bhoomi Puja of New Buildings of SSSIHL

Amidst chanting of Vedas and singing of Bhajans by the men students, invoking the Divine presence of Bhagawan, the Bhoomi Pooja for an Extension Building at the Prasanthi Nilayam Campus of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning was conducted on the morning of 17th March, 2012. Senior officials including the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sashidhara Prasad and former Vice Chancellor and Senior Trust official Sri SV Giri, former Vice Chancellor Prof. Vishwanath Pandit etc. were present during the occasion along with other officials from the Institute.
This 44,000 sq. ft. Extension Building (ground plus two floors) will house additional classrooms, a 250-seat conference facility, computer centre, staff rooms and smart classrooms, along with an enclosed quadrangle of around 3,500 sq. ft.
On the morning of 18th March, 2012, the Bhoomi Pooja for a 9500 sq. ft. Residential Complex for women teachers (ground plus two floors) was conducted amidst chanting of Vedas and singing of Bhajans by the women students, at the Anantapur Campus of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. This Residential complex will house 12 apartments.
Two separate Bhoomi Pooja(s) were also conducted for the construction of a Quarters for women workers at the Anantapur Campus and for a new concrete basketball court at the Anantapur Campus on the 18th March morning. These Quarters for women workers are being built in three clusters and each cluster is of 1200 sq. ft., comprising of four quarters. The construction of these new buildings is likely to be completed over the next 10 to 18 months.
