Little Masters’ Voice by Kerala Balvikas…

Children from Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas – Kerala presented a programme entitled “Little Masters’ Voice” this morning on the eve of Onam here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. The offering was a compilation of devotional numbers, mainly in vernacular Malayalam, with ‘open’ prayers form part of the content, along with attributes of selected deities from the State.

The ‘Little Presentation’ commenced at 1820 hrs., after regular Rudram chanting, with a number dedicated to Attukal Bhagavathi of the famed Attukal Pongala, singing Devi Ambikey Mahadarshanam Tharoo Jagadambey…, and flowed on for the next forty minutes.

Thiruvaranmula Krishna…, Balakrishna Devam Bhajeham…, Tumhi Ho Matha Pitha Tumhee Ho…, Sree Madhava Yadhu Nandana…, Mein Kabse Therey Sharan Mein Hoo…, Ellam Shivamyam Shiva Shakthi Mayam…, Aayo Kahan Se Ghana Shyam… and a touching prayer song in Malayalam  – Naamam Chollanai Mathram Naavithu Mattiththaraney… meaning Oh Lord! Please translate my tongue only to sing Thy Holy Name… were the songs, as the children made ‘holy’ merry of His Mighty Presence on this Onam Eve.

Pure at hearts, well disciplined, no inhibitions to express and fully charged up with Swami… Sai… Sri Sathya Sai, these beautiful children were sight to watch and undoubtedly a treat for the Lord on the throne.

Children from Kerala continued with added verve, leading bhajans next. They sang some of the ‘not-so-familiar’ Sai bhajans namely, ‘Mana Bangaru Parthi Baba…’ and ‘Bada Chittha Chora Mana Mohan…’ along with regular Prasanthi numbers. The most absorbing session ended with Mangala Arathi at 0930 hrs.

A new Prasanthi Information Centre was pressed into service this morning, aimed at serving devotees seeking information about various Prasanthi related things. The Centre will be operational near the devotees’ entry-point at the Ganesh Gate.
