Glittering Ladies’ Day Evening…
Monday, November 19th, 2018
After the glittering ‘morning glory’ today on the International Ladies’ Day, as the celebrations flowed on into the evening, Prasanthi witnessed an awe-inspiring speech, a telling tale of absolute surrender, followed by twin cultural programmes today here, in the immediate Divine OmniPresence of Beloved Bhagawan.
‘Women are not just the bedrock of the family, but of the society at large,’ reminded Dr. Neelam Desai addressing first, representing the committee of organisers. Referring to essential harmony of the diversity, harmony of the two genders, the abrogation and disruption of the balance between the feminine and masculine energies, Dr. Neelam called for greater balance of the two through mutual respect, understanding and interdependence. The Day’s significance lies in celebrating this delicate balance and the feminine energy. Greatness and uniqueness of womanhood should be recognised and celebrated, echoed Dr. Neelam. Dr. Neelam Desai is currently the HOD, Dept. Of Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery at SSSIHMS, Prasanthigram.
A regular devout face in Prasanthi over the past almost five years, Hon’ble Isabella Chu, Permanent Judge from Hong Kong, then spoke on her awe-inspiring tale of absolute surrender. Having found her True Love and Inspiration in Beloved Mother Sai, being the child of Mother Sai, Isabella of late had a desire to fulfil, to be a speaker once again in His Divine OmniPresence at Prasanthi Nilayam, on this very day. To fulfill her wish, her family gathered in prayers to Bhagawan, doing their very best in prayers, appeasing The Lord. As the intensity peaked there came another clue, finishing a round of Sai Satcharitra parayana. The hunt for the holy book went on and finally the book reached her family in a most ‘Sai-Sankalpa‘ style, dot on the 15th October, precisely at 0240 pm, the exact day and time when Beloved Bhagawan at Shirdi left His mortal coil. …And Isabella finished her ‘parayana‘ (reading of holy scripture) in three days, literally demanding her Swami to do the rest, reposing herself in absolute faith and surrender. After a peaceful night’s sleep when she was up, she was greeted with an international call from Prasanthi, inviting her to be a guest speaker on this very day!
Don’t give up, keep trying, hold on to Swami, exhorted an elated Isabella divulging her ‘secret’ of reliance on Bhagawan. “I take Swami as my Dearest Partner and He has to take care of me,” Isabella unravelled her secret. In her convincing moment of absolute faith and surrender, she had offered Bhagawan all her earning, saying ‘now that Bhagawan is making my work His work, I will in turn use all my earning and energy, serving Him’ …and her inspiring journey is on. An ‘open-heart’ speech from a pristine soul practising absolute surrender.
Next to come was a musical offering by the Mahilas of Sundaram, Chennai, who presented a bouquet of devotionals. Commencing with ‘Sai Sathyam Sai Nithyam...’ they continued with ‘Ek Radha Ek Meera…”, ‘Hum Ko Thum Se Pyaar Kithna…” to name a few.
The grand finale for the evening was a Musical Dance Drama by the students of Bhagawan’s Primary School, Prasanthi Nilayam. The presentation on the theme of ‘Sai Katha’ was the story of His Unmatched Glory, lucidly illustrating some of the most beautiful episodes from the life of Bhagawan. The presentation interspersed with beautiful commentary, songs and dances turned out to be a ‘Sailent’ reminder of the Supreme Divinity Who Walked the Earth, and Who continues to walk on…
Bhajans by the Higher Secondary girls continued and the session came to a close with Mangala Arathi offering to Bhagawan.
Earlier, tiny tots from Bhagawan’s Primary School commenced the evening proceedings with invocatory Vedam, chanting Durga Suktam.
