The Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning organised a Summer Course on the theme of Indian Culture and Spirituality from the 10th June to 12th June 2011 at Prasanthi Nilayam. Students and staff from all the Campuses of the Institute participated in this programme.

Wish-Fulfilling Tree in Puttaparthi Intact

On the night of 19th of May 2011, at around 8 o’clock, there were fierce gusty winds accompanied by thunder and rain in Puttaparthi. The impact of the whirlwind was so strong that many trees in Puttaparthi were unable to withstand the gales. Even the Kalpavriksha lost most of its branches, but contrary to the reports that appeared in some sections of the media, its roots and main trunk are intact. Easwaramma Day and Maha Narayana Seva

This day (6th May 2011) being Easwaramma Day and the 13th day after Bhagawan shed His mortal coil and stayed established as the all-pervading Universal Consciousness, a special function was arranged in the Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium to serve the special guests who had assembled in tens of thousands from the nearby villages. These guests who provide us the opportunity to serve are no less than Narayana Himself and hence this function is rightly named as Maha Narayana Seva. On this auspicious day this activity was also carried out in many centres of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations around the world.
