Sathya Sai World Youth Festival – 2016 – Day – 2

The second day of the Sathya Sai World Youth Festival began at the break of dawn with the ‘Mornings at Hill View’ session. The young delegates took part in invigorating physical training activities at the Hill view Stadium, including yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, volleyball, basketball, football and a hike to the Hanuman statue at the summit of the hill that overlooks the stadium. read more »

Summer Course In Indian Culture and Spirituality – Day 2

The second day of the Summer Course in Indian Culture & Spirituality, after the invocatory Vedam Chanting, started with a session on ‘Living with God is True Education’. Teachers and scholars recollected the beautiful memories and lessons learnt at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan when He blessed a drama—Bhaja Govindam—that had a prestigious ten oncores in different places. These included the fact that feelings are more important than the paraphernalia, Swami did not select the qualified, He qualified the selected and Sai’s philosophy is not about running away from the world. Summer Course In Indian Culture and Spirituality for the Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions commenced yesterday (17th June) at the Poornachandra Auditorium amidst serene devotional ambeince. The Summer Course serves as an induction programme to all students and teachers of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning with an objective to expose students of the university to the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Bharat. Loud, high-pitched and traditional – Bhajan singing takes a different turn with the ‘three’ coming together, turning it to incitingly ecstatic. Bhajan that has been an integral part of everyday Prasanthi  sessions took a detour this evening when a group of devotional singers led by Sri Sanal Kumar Varma from Kozhikode presented a ‘traditional’ Sampradaya Bhajan at  Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.
