Singing aloud with voice ecstatic “Holi Hey!” accomplished Hindustani vocalist Dr. Krishna Kumar Mishra & troupe presented a vibrant Holi evening today on the second and final day of the Holi celebrations in the Divine Abode here in Prasanthi Nilayam.
Singing for an hour presenting eight compositions that included that of Kabir Das and Tulsi Das, Dr. Mishra concluded with a Bhojpuri folk number that rose the tempo matching with the holistic excitement of the boisterous festivity.
The singer was accompanied by a host of musicians playing various instruments.
At the end of the session the artiste and accompanists were felicitated and Prasadam was distributed.
Bhajans by the State(s) troupe continued before Mangala Arathi offering at 1810 hrs.
Earlier, devotees from the state took out a Palanquin Procession in the morning celebrating the occasion in traditional, colourful style. The procession that was marked with a riot of colours had the thrills and frills of the festivity and was attended by hundreds of devotees from the twin states camping in Prasanthi Nilayam.
