Monday, October 1st, 2018
Students from Baba Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Thoothukudi, Tamilnadu presented a short dance drama titled ‘Peetambaradhari Murari’ as part of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini programme this evening at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam.
The presentation was themed after the epochal battle between an egotistic Devendra with The Lord Of Love, Bhagawan Sri Krishna, teaching Devendra the true lesson of bond of love with The Divine. As Nanda was getting ready for one more Indra Yaga, a customary affair, in order to appease the Lord of the Devas, Lil Krishna along with Balarama questions Nanda seeking logical reasoning for the desired act. If the action is done out of fear, fearing the wrath of Indra and not out of love, then what is the use of such a Yajna, questions the Divine Children. Convinced beyond all doubts, Nanda decides in favour of a Govardhana Yajna, and thus the feud and ensuing battle. Indra comes to his senses as Little Krishna takes the reins with Him.
The presentation ended with the beautiful song ‘Manishini Madhavuni Cheya…’, a song of praise for Surpeme Sri Sathya Sai.
Earlier, the presentation began with an introduction interspersed with beautiful narrations of Bhagawan’s Bond Of Love, narrated by the students.
Bhajans by the Vidya Vahini children continued and the session ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
