Wednesday, August 12th, 2015
Prasanthi was treated with typical Haryanvi flavour today, as the 3-day State Parthi Yatra culminated with a unique rendering of Hanuman Katha this evening at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet.
Popular folk singer from Haryana, Ravinder Antil, was the artist for the evening. Presented in Haryanvi dialect, the musical offering entitled – Sri Ram Bhakt Hanuman Katha was a unique devotional depiction of the sacred story of Lord Ram and Hanuman.
Dressed in typical Haryanvi style with a colourful turban and surrounded by his folks of musicians in uniform pattern, the taleteller for the day lit up the august evening with his simple yet most effectual ‘Rama Katha’ rendering stylised with inimitable and inciting singing, interspersed with story-telling and occasional dancing.
Haryana Se Chalkar Puttaparthi Aaye Se… the troupe sang in chorus, entreating Bhagawan in the end, seeking blessings abundant.
Bhajans continued and the session ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan at 1825 hrs.
