Prasanthi Guru Purnima 2021 – Evening Session
Sunday, July 25th, 2021
Post the morning session that witnessed the inception of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, the Prasanthi Mandir Bhajan Group presented a soul-stirring devotional this evening in Prasanthi Nilayam. The musical was preceded by a Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini programme followed by Bhagawan’s Divine discourse, aired on the public address system.
After the regular Rudram chanting session, the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini came up with a short presentation, launching two innovative tools for education, SAIN APP, followed by a Tablet loaded with quality educational assets. The SAIN APP introduces the basics of English Language to students, meant for India’s rural and urban areas.
Originally delivered on July 13, 1984, Bhagawan’s Divine discourse followed next played on the public address system. Discoursing on the significance and meaning of Guru Purnima, Bhagawan delved in detail explaining the Guru Principle as to who is a True Guru. When scholarship and experience combine, he becomes a True Guru who can guide elevating the disciple in his spiritual journey towards the final goal.
A musical bouquet on the hallowed theme of Guru followed next, aesthetically presented by the Prasanthi Mandir Bhajan Group, interspersed with English commentary, elucidating the theme. The session turned out to be a vibrant evening turned twilight, with the resultant synergy immersing Prasanthi Nilayam in the infinite glory of SadhGuru Sri Sathya Sai.
As bhajans continued, a book release followed, ‘My Loving Swami’ 1 & 2 authored by Sri ‘Kadu’ Balasubramaniam Parasuraman, an alumnus of SSSIHL.
Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
