Holy Guru Purnima In Prasanthi Nilayam

Today is holy Guru Purnima. The holy festival of Guru Purnima comes with a ‘sailent’ reminder to one and all of the ‘first-ever message of Bhagawan as ‘Young Sathya’ of fourteen years, and the message was: Manasa Bhajare Guru Charanam…Dusthara Bhava Sagara Tharanam, exhorting one and all to worship the Lotus Feet Of The SadhGuru in mind, enabling one to cross the worldly ocean of Samsara.

The Supreme Lord Whose mightiest-ever manifestation in a human frame as Sri Sathya Sai has ever been reminding humanity of the supreme significance of human life, and thus the importance of the day, in His very omnipresence in sacrosanct Prasanthi Nilayam.

The programme this morning commenced at 0825 hrs with a brief invocatory song propitiating the SadhGuru, singing “Twameva Mataacha, Pitaa Twameva…”

Sri SS Naganand, Member, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, addressed the session next, speaking first on the significance of Guru Purnima. Bhagawan is hailed as Guruunam Guru, The Guru of all gurus, Who helps guiding devotees in their spiritual path. Singing a couplet from the sacred Sivananda Lahiri of Adi Sankaracharya, the speaker highlighted the four stages of spiritual evolution, Saroopyam, Salokyam, Sameepyam and Sayoojyam, reminding man to reach the final stage of merger with The Lord Supreme.

Sri Naganand then introduced the proposed Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, a world body to supervise the activities of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, both India and worldwide, at the behest of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust as the overseeing body.

Deliberating on the aim and objective of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisations, explaining clear guidelines from Bhagawan in the running and administrative hierarchy, Sri Naganand said that ‘in order to formalise and to provide a firm foundation for continued activities of the ideals and goals as per the teaching of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, consequent to the recognition of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust by the United Nations by confirming special consultative status, a closer connection to Sai Organisation in different parts of the world to Prasanthi Nilayam and SSSCT has become necessary.’ With 1014 registrations so far, the SSSGC is truly a world body unifying the efforts of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations. The SSSGC aims to unify the Sai World, ensuring transparency of activities at various levels, said the speaker, highlighting that the spirit of the SSSGC is unity, unity, and unity alone.

Senior office-bearers, including the Central Trust members and the All India President of SSSSO, then formally offered the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council at Bhagawan’ Divine Lotus Feet.

The announcement of the inception of the SSSGC was made during the 95th Birthday occasion last year, in the Divine OmniPresence.

In his welcome address, Sri K. Chakravarthi, Chairman, SSSGC, hailed the SSSGC an institutional representation of the grand concept of Vasudaiva Kutumbakam that has dominated the thinking and feeling of Bharat. The SSSGC is a common divine platform for all those engaged in furthering and strengthening the Sai Mission worldwide, said the veteran speaker welcoming devotees from all over the world in their ‘Home Coming’, connecting to sacrosanct Prasanthi Nilayam.

Sri Nimish Pandya, Vice Chairman, SSSGC, commenced attributing everything unto Bhagawan, The Doer, The Planner, The Executor and The Master. God is simple, and the rest of everything is complicated, and thus the inception of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations. There is no scope for any debate on what Bhagawan has spoken about, reminded the speaker contemplating the impromptu decision of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations – India to join the SSSGC, and thus getting connected to Prasanthi Nilayam. The SSSGC is in sync with Bhagawan; like Bhagawan chose to be in Prasanthi Nilayam, the SSSGC is also anchored in Prasanthi Nilayam, said Sri Nimish Pandya, claiming that 95 perc of the global Sai devotees are from India.

A video presentation titled ‘Unity Is Divinity For World Peace’ followed next, featuring the inception of SSSGC, highlighting Bhagawan’s guidelines concerning the running of the world body.

A musical bouquet singing paeans at the SadhGuru by the Prasanthi Bhajan Group was the final offering for the morning session. The compilation included Sai Tum Hamaare Praan Ho…, Sukumara Sareerinam Makuta Loka…, Sathya Dharmamu Shaanthi Premalothu…, Jaya Gurudeva Jaya Narayana…, Gurunathutame Guruchoohathive…, Sadaa Satswaruupam Chidanandakandam…

Maha Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan marked the end of the morning proceedings.
