Ayudha Puja Celebrated…

Goddess Durga, amongst the nine Durga manifestations, is worshipped on the 8th day of the Dasara celebrations. Today being the 8th day of the festivity, Prasanthi Nilayam celebrated the holy Durgashtami in traditional style this morning, observing Ayudha Puja in Sai Kulwant Hall.
Customarily, implements used for livelihood are worshipped on this day, a symbolic practice reminding man of Supreme Divine grace. In Prasanthi, it has been customary to worship the vehicles used by Bhagawan during the occasion, a custom set by Bhagawan ‘HimSelf’ decades ago. Trustees, senior office bearers, Vedam and Bhajan groups attended the function held at 0830 hrs. in the Sai Kulwant Hall. The function comprised of breaking coconuts followed by Arathi to each and every special vehicle, Sai Vahan’ present for the function that included the Golden Chariot of Beloved Bhagawan.
Vedam and Bhajans accompanied the function that ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
