Bharat Ki Awaaz…- Independence Day drama by PG students…

At a time when the nation is passing through a phase calling for true patriotism, celebrating the 73rd Independence Day in His immediate Divine OmniPresence, post graduate students of SSSIHL presented a thematic drama titled “Bharat Ki Awaz” on August 15th in Prasanthi Nilayam. The presentation, staged at the Sai Kulwant Hall in the evening illustrated some of the colourful facets of the spirited journey of  Indian Independence.

How the HSRA, Hindustan Socialist Republic Association, under the leadership of revolutionary Shaheed Bhagat Singh worked for the national independence under the inspiring slogan Inquilab Zindabad, how Manpreet Singh Badal in the absence of Bhagat Singh, who was jailed by the British after a plotted attack on the Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi, took up the challenge of leading the HSRA from the front, formed the theme for the evening, unfurling some of the brightest pages of national Independence history.

Passing through many twists and turns, an initially reluctant Manpreet  took up the challenge turning himself into a resolute and passionate leader, uniting the folks fighting with true spirit, till the end. Abdul Zafar, the narrator for the evening, who was a young comrade with the HSRA then, missed out the fated night before Independence only to return with rejoiced vigour, but alas… Manpreet Singh Badal, the true patriot, after listening to the great good news of National Independence decided to fly towards freedom of his soul too. A colourful story of true patriotism from the Indian story of Independence.

True to the patriotic number Sarfaroshii kii tamannaa ab hamaare dil mein heymeaning, the desire to sacrifice is now in my heart… truly sung the silent, yet ever sacrificial patriotic heart of Manpreet Singh Badal, striving till his last, fighting for Mother India.

If there is righteousness in the heart, there will be beauty in the character; If there is beauty in the character, there will be harmony in the home; If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nations; When there is order in the nations, there will peace in the world” resounded the drama presenting Bhagawan’s famous axiom for world peace.

To listen to the voice of the nation, one need to tune in, within, listening and hearing… echoed the  beautiful patriotic presentation in conclusion, presenting Bhagawans’ Divinely mellifluous Voice, Khanda Kandanthara Khyathi Narchinchina Mahaniyulanu Kanna Mathru Bhumi. A small video presentation “Avaaz De…” meaning Raise Your Voice… next ended with National Anthem, collectively attended by the august assembly.

The presentation was set in the backdrop of a book releasing function, a book by name ‘Bharat Ki Awaaz” by Abdul Zafar, the young comrade with the protagonist at the HSRA then, whose narrations helped to unfurl the special story for the evening.

Bhajans continued and the session concluded with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
