Prasanthi Vidhwan Mahasabha – Day4

Day-4 of the ongoing Prasanthi Vidhwan Mahasabha, Ensemble Of The Learned, this evening featured an exposition on the ‘Devi Aspect Of Mother Goddesses’, a brief narration on the inner significance of Prasanthi Dasara celebrations, Bhagawan’s Divine discourse followed by a musical rendering by the Anantapur Campus.

The speaker for the occasion was Dr. (Ms) Sharada Subramaniam, Associate Professor with Dept of Philosophy at the Anantapur Campus of SSSIHL. She spoke on the subject, ’3-dimensions of the Devi aspect of Divinity and its inner significance’. Beginning with the days’ Goddess aspect of ‘Kalarathri’ the speaker spoke as to how the three gunas, Sathwa, Rajas and Thamas play their respective roles vide the three Divine Motherly forms of Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathi, explaining the respective aspects of Iccha Shakti, Kriya Shakti, Jnana Shakti.

Ms. Padma Lalita, Research Scholar from the Anantapur Campus at SSSIHL then explained the inner significance of Prasanthi Dasara divulging into detail about the various Vedic chants being expounded during the 7-day of long Yajna.

People are not enquiring upon the root cause of miseries said Bhagawan, stressing on how ignorance becomes the root cause of all ignorance, in His Divine discourse, played on the public address system.

Students from the Anantapur Campus then offered a musical rendering serenading Beloved Mother Sai in His varied names and forms.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
