Navavidha Bhakti – Presentation by Sri Sathya Sai Gurukulam, Rajahmundry

Into day-2 of the 10-days Dasara celebrations, students from Sri Sathya Sai Gurukulam, Rajahmundry presented a musical dance drama titled “Navavidha Bhakti” this evening at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam.

Man who was made in His own image when desired to reunite with his Source understood that the same, Oneness with his Divine nature, is possible only with love, devotion, that is Bhakti. Presenting the theme of Bhakti as purported by the sacred text, often emphasised by Bhagawan HimSelf, the drama in sequential segments presented the nine forms of devotion, namely, Sravanam, Keerthanam, Namasmaranam, Vandanam, Archanam, Padasevanam, Daasyam, Sakhyam and Atmanivedanam. With enlightening compeering with appropriate inserted scenes, each of the nine segments of devotion was effectively illustrated by the students making it a spiritual-audio-visual treat on this auspicious 2nd day of the grand celebrations. It ends with an expression of immense soul-satisfaction of the ‘Jeevatma turned Divyatma’ expressing…’Ah What A Feeling! The Taster, The Tasted and The Taste are no more different, but One! A final audio clip from Bhagawan’s Divine discourse on the Navavidha Bhakti brings the curtain down for the evening programme.

Sri Sathya Sai Gurukulam had its inception on 23 June 1981 and has been a vital component of the  Sri Sathya Sai Educational Mission for the past 37 years.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
