Glory Unto Sai…Reminds The Glorious Morning Of His Advent…
Thursday, November 23rd, 2017
When finite human minds joined hearts many, what turned out was the soulful melody of love….love for the Beloved Supreme. Today, when 23rd November dawned yet again, it turned out to be a ‘Sai lent’ reminder, for the fraternity around the world, of His Supreme Munificence.
The Munificence that permits humans to celebrate His Advent, the Divine ‘BirthDay’. …And thousands of hearts, minds and souls in unison hummed in subtle silence wishing the Supreme Persona Of Godhood ever visited planet earth, ‘Happy Birthday Swami’. The theme that is most familiar to the Sai fraternity ‘Happy Birthday Swami’ reverberated and resounded through and through this morning, as Prasanthi Nilayam regaled the grandeur of the occasion of Bhagawan’s 92nd year of Advent with a string of offerings at His Divine Lotus Feet.
The programme commenced at 0820 hrs and what followed was a session rich with talent galore, suffused with the flavour of devotional fervour. Various segments of talent pool from the student fraternity presented short stints of offerings, that included the bagpiper band from the primary school, percussion band, panchavadyam troupe, university band from Prasanthi Nilayam along with band squads form Brindavan and Anantapur campuses. Soulful singing by the prasanthi music group ensued next, singing the vernacular Happy Birthday number, ‘Bhagavanudu Puttina Panduga…’. A tantalisingly mesmerising session continued with interspersed commentary on His indescribable ‘Avatara Vaibhavam’, presenting some of the most endearing numbers.
Moving from devotional to the official side of affairs, Sri SS Naganand, Member Trustee, SSSCT, then presented the Annual Report for the year 2016-2017 of the activities of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. Presenting the report, Sri Naganand divulged into details of many areas of activities, touching upon some of the latest initiatives.
A book release followed next, ‘Sathya Sai Baba Lives On’, authored by Member Trustee, Dr. V. Mohan. The book talks about Dr. Mohan’s personal experiences at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet.
Next in line was Mr. Leonardo Gutter, from SSIO – Argentina. Beginning with Mr Gutter narrated his thrilling experience of induction into the Sai fraternity, vide a transcendental experience happened decades ago. Mixing up his talk with inspirational words of wisdom from Bhagawan, his own learning curve of experiences instilling greater faith, Mr Gutter had an interesting revelation to make, of allegiance to Bharat. He said, i have an Argentinean passport, but I am a Bharatiya, as Bharatiya means the ones who loves God and we all love God. An ample testimony to his love and surrender for Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai.
Prof. K. Anil Kumar spoke next, in Telugu, hailing the eternal beauty of Sri Sathya Sai Avatara Vaibhavam.
Bhagawan’s birthday benedictory message was played on the public address system. Bhajans continued and the session ended with Mangala Arathi at 1120 hrs.
