Celestial Wedding In The Divine Presence…

If His Presence is His legacy and His mighty Presence marks Supreme Auspiciousness, Prasanthi Nilayam continues to bask in the greater glory of this Supreme Auspiciousness.

Today, when the Balvikas children from the State of Tamil Nadu came up with a Musical Dance Drama presentation on the Celestial Wedding of Lord Rama with Mother Sita, it was this unbounded auspiciousness that filled Prasanthi, ensuing heavenly delight.

The presentation this evening titled “Sita Rama Kalyanam” also marked the grand-finale of the week-long Tamil Nadu Cultural Festivity in the Divine Presence.

The drama in English, with dance and music interspersed, ran through the Ramayana epic illustrating major events, beginning with the ‘Putra Kameshti Yaga’, covering eventful actions to culminate in the most auspicious Celestial Marriage of Lord Sri Ramachandra with Mother Sita.

The story began with a desponded Emperor Dasarata, who was issueless, goes for the conduct of an auspicious “Putrakameshti Yaga”, seeking heavenly favour of blessings with progeny. The nectarous Rama Katha Rasa Vahini flowed through the next fifty minutes, singing, enacting and narrating His Story from the Treta Yuga, in His very ‘own’ Presence.

Events depicted included the Divine Advent of Lord Rama along with siblings, childhood of the Divine siblings, Gurukula Education, Rama as Saviour fighting the demoness – Tadaki…  protecting the Yajna officiated by Vishwamitra, Mother Sita’s birth and upbringing, Ahalya Moksham, and events leading to the Sita Swayavaram to end with the Celestial Re-Union.

The Marriage symbolically represents the Absolute Union of the Jeevatma with the Paramatma, the goal of life in His creation.

Thirty Eight Balvikas children from the State participated in this ‘Labour Of Love’, toiling hard to make it a beautiful presentation.

Prsanthi Nilayam has witnessed many such occasions in the past, with Bhagawan personally officiating celestial events of the order, helping to capitalize untold heavenly benediction upon planet earth.

Bhajans continued and the session concluded with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan at 1815 hrs.
