Walk Your Values – message from Andhra – Telangana Balvikas…
Monday, August 31st, 2015
Walk Your Values was the message from children today when over three hundred Balvikas students from the twin Telugu speaking States – Andhra Pradesh and Telangana walked into the hallowed Sai Kulwant precincts this morning, participating in a colourful Sri Sathya Sai Amritotsavamu Rally that forms part of their six-day Parthi Yatra here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.
Distinct from usual rallies, the Balvikas Rally this morning turned out to be a facsimile of the value-oriented Balvikas syllabus, studded with values galore, exhibiting allegiance to the legacy of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai.
The event was aimed at promoting human and spiritual values among the children and devotees in general on the five cardinal values of Sathya, Dharma, Shanthi, Prema and Ahimsa, as propagated by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai.
Today, as the melodious, thematic Amritotsavamu song “Sai Mata Bittalam Balachandrulam…” rung out in the spacious Sai Kulwant Hall at the scheduled hour, children in coloured garbs, each representing different culture and traditions marched in to the hall in segments, presenting a grand morning spectacle of value ensemble in the immediate Divine Presence. Expressing solidarity to the movement, the rest of the mammoth group of over 2600 also joined in, waving Balvikas flags from the sides.
Earlier, introducing the session, Kum. Y. Padmaja, one of the senior Balvikas gurus said, a child grows in the womb for nine months, while a Balvikas child grows in the womb for nine years, highlighting the undisputed influence of Bhagawan’s Balvikas programme in the blossoming generation today. The Balvikas guru then gave a brief sketch of the Balvikas movement in the twin States.
Over 2600 Balvikas children and 500 gurus are participating in the 6-day Parthi Yatra, named Sri Sathya Sai Divyotsavamu.
Bhajans by the Andhra – Telangana group followed and the session ended with Mangala Arathi at 0930 hrs.
