Amore – Love – The Religion Of God

Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam reflects the truth in essence, as preached and practised by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. In fact, the ongoing Parthi Yatra series, in the run up to the 90th birthday, by various state organizational units exhibit an influx of values galore, based on Bhagawan’s value-oriented teachings.

Continuing with the series, today, the Parthi Yatra contingent from West Bengal presented a drama titled ‘The Religion Of God’ at Sai Kulwant Hall in Prasanthi Nilayam. The offering was the first of the two cultural presentations that forms part of the WB Parthi Yatra 2015.

All religions are essentially the same and Love is the undercurrent. Displaying this quintessential message from Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai, the drama dealt with the truth that man belongs to humanity and religion does not matter.

The protagonist Amore, an alien to the deceptive ways of humans, searches for a flat on rent. Having no religious tag, he is denied a flat by the landlord, Mr Bhagawan Das. Desperate and despondent, Mr Amore seeks to adopt a suitable religion, only to be confronted with the pretentious practitioners of the day.

Almost at his wit’s end, a puzzled Amore becomes akin to a lost man, until he hears the voice of his own consciousness that leads him to the religion of Love.

Fresh with his newly adopted religion of Love, Amore returns to the Landlord once again, only to be rejected, this time for his adoption of a religion that is non-existent. And, meanwhile, Amore, meaning Love in Italy, goes on wielding its magical power in the society, solving and settling intra-religious problems.

The legal tussle now extends to the Court of Law, where Mr Amore, in presence of various religious masters, has to prove his point that ‘love is the essence of all religions’.

In the climactic final scene, the protagonist reveals his identity, as a messenger in search of the most simple, yet complicated truth on earth – Religion. Rightfully, he is guided by the teachings of the Supreme Master of Oneness, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, vide His series of discourses, Sathya Sai Speaks.

Amore is none else but love in essence.

The presentation ended with a group song “Moula…Moula…”.

Bhajans next concluded with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
