Pulse – Fusion Music on Aradhana Day Eve…

A new age fusion music by noted musician AS Ram and co. marked the eve of Aradhana evening herein Prasanthi Nilayam today. Aradhana Day marks the ‘ascent’ of the Divine from the physical to the all-pervading omnipresence. It was on 24th April three summer’s ago that Bhagawan chose to exist from the physical plane bringing ‘curtains down’ to His earthly sojourn. On the evening, playing on a unique instrument ‘Keytar’, a combination of keyboard and guitar, KS Ram along with his band of musicians enthralled the audience with contemporary, modern age fusion music entitled PULSE, for over an hour. Before concluding AS Ram presented a penultimate number, a solo vocal in Tamil, conversing with Bhagawan, singing, asking Him, “Why did You leave us and go”…asserting that He is omnipresent, present everywhere.

An electrifying  Jugalbandhi involving Mridangam and Tabla marked the grand finale of the one-hour programme. This evening’s  band had three of Bhagawan’s former students, Sri VS Raghavan on Mridangam, Sri Rupak Desai on Tabla and Priyant Sundas on Guitar along with Sri G Jagan on Drums and Sr R Narayanan lending vocal support.

Sri AS Ram began his musical journey at the tender age of 10 and has 16 years of training in Carnatic, Hindustani and Western Classical Music. Till date he has performed over 1500 concerts in different genres of music all over the world.

At the end all the artistes were felicitated by Senior Trust members. Bhajans continued and ended with Mangala Arathi at 1900 hrs.
