Ganeshas retreat in Prasanthi…

Devotional frenzy marked the Wednesday evening when scores of Ganeshas marched to the Seat Of The Divine in Sai Kulwant Hall paying obeisance to Divine Father and Mother, Sai Easwara before retreating for the ceremonial immersion.

It is a set tradition in Prasanthi to have immersion on the 3rd day of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

The procession into the hall commenced shortly after 1600 hrs. with Ganeshas in varied colours and shapes making a boisterous, yet disciplined entry into the hallowed precincts.

Even as all Ganeshas settled inside, the little ‘ganas’ from the Primary School came forward dancing beautifully to a Ganesha theme that was followed by a robust dance by the Higher Secondary students who danced to the theme, Ganesha – The Leader Of All.

It was time for Ganeshas to retreat. Multi-coloured Ganeshas in different shapes, representing various institutions, came forward paying obeisance to Bhagawan before retreating. The Ganeshas varied from Phoenix Ganesha, Boat Ganesha, Ganesha on the swing, Ganesha on the Himalayas, Nataraja Vinayaka Ganesha, Eagle Ganesha, Conch Ganesha, Swan Ganesha, Seven-tusked Elephant Ganesha, Reindeer X-Mas Ganesha etc.

Bhajans continued and ended with Mangala Arathi at 1800 hrs.
