With the dawn of a fresh New Year, it is time for us to sit back and look within ruminating over the past, with a resolve to set things right to set our rhythm in tune with Him…and pray fervently for His abundant magnanimity… a poem from Sri Jullie Chaudhuri.
Can anything have more value than You…?
Can we cherish anyone above You…?
Can the self, desire anything other than You…?
You forever…Forever You…
Oh Lord! Beloved Bhagawan,
Bless us with Thy abundant magnanimity,
Come, Oh! Precious Lord,
Come and set us free,
Thy Grace, Thy Grace,
Thy radiantly munificent Grace,
Even as we face,
The dawn of 2013…
In every moment, every vista, every scene,
Thy charisma, Thy benevolence,
We do seek,
Help us remove self-created barriers in between,
Enable us to touch, that which is sublime,
Help us to walk hand in hand with time,
Befriend the pristine,
Whatever be the clime…
Accept this wholesome request,
In our life,
We implore Thee,
To intervene, intervene, intervene,
That we may so our thoughts and personality preen,
So as to attract Thy sacrosanct Presence ever so serene…
Be gone everything petty and trivial,
To our destiny we can no longer be fickle,
Stay away, oh, clutches of Maya,
You may not rule over us, for now we do rebel…
Unreined desires, irresponsible indulgences,
That gallop and swivel,
Delude us no further oh, vile viral,
Twists and turns, twirls and whirls, extensive and radial…
That takes us away from the glorious towards the dismal…
Oh! Lord, our most supremely Beloved One,
Other than You, savior there is none,
It is You Who gives brilliance to the Sun,
It is You Whom we value,
It is You Whom we cherish,
It is You Whom we desire…
You Forever…Forever You…
No more room for regrets and rue,
Save us from mire and sin,
Save us from this dance upon the Karmic Trampoline,
May we be in tune with You all the time,
We implore Thee to intervene, intervene, intervene,
That we may so our thoughts and personality preen,
So as to attract Thy sacrosanct Presence ever so serene…
Upon the threshold of all things momentous,
May we gather, converge, collect,
Assemble, collate and gleam,
Add sparkle and sheen…
May Thy radiantly munificent grace,
Be felt, experienced and seen,
May Thy Abundant Magnanimity convene,
Light up the wondrous panoramic scene of 2013…
