An ardent devotee of Bhagawan, Dr. Narottam Maharaj Alreja has worked in the well known J.J.Hospital, Mumbai as its Superintendent. He joined the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital, Prasanthi Nilayam as its Superintendent in the year 1975 and served almost his entire life. Deferral of Mandir sessions in the evenings…

As per an announcement made on Wednesday evening, Mandir sessions in the evenings would begin at 1700 hrs., as against 1630 hrs., with Veda chanting, to continue upto 1745 hrs., followed by Bhajans for the next 45 minutes ending the session at 1830 hrs.. w.e.f. March 12, Monday 2012.

Anantapur students offer gratitude to their Founder Chancellor

Outgoing students of Under Graduate, Post Graduate, B.Ed and M Phil of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur Campus arrived in Prasanthi Nilayam to seek blessings of Bhagawan before their final exams.
“How can it be said that Bhagawan’s Darshan is history when He wakes us up every morning as the Sun, caresses us as the Breeze and provides fragrance as the Flower”, questioned a student at the start of the 45 minute presentation to their ever near, ever dear and ever here Lord. The programme consisted of songs interspersed with commentary, poems , experiences and expressions of gratitude to Bhagawan.The rendering was in English, Hindi and Telugu.Though gratitude was the underlying theme of the programme, the students also displayed their deep understanding and faith in Bhagawan with some inspirational wisdom. read more »

New Director appointed for the Super Specialty Hospital

Dr. M. Kumaraswamy Reddy has taken over as the Director of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Prasanthigram, from 27 Feb 2012. The previous Director Dr. A.N. Safaya retired in October 2011.
Dr. Reddy was the Dean of Faculty and also served as the acting Director of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati. He has over 30 years experience in the field of medicine and administration. He is a pioneer in the development of SVIMS, Tirupati. read more »
