Request for prayer to avert an impending disaster…
Saturday, October 12th, 2013
At the end of the evening session on 11 October 2013 in Prasanthi Nilayam Sri V Srinivasan, All India President Of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations had made an earnest request to devotees to pray to avert an impending disastrous threat of a cyclonic storm looming over low-lying costal districts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
If we believe that prayers have tremendous power and collective and selfless prayers bring wondrous blessings…it is time to act…as you may be aware, the low-lying coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha in Eastern India are in the path of the cyclonic storm Phailin that is likely to make landfall on Saturday, Oct 12.
This impending cyclonic storm Phailin has brewed over east central Bay of Bengal, intensifying into a very severe cyclonic storm of Category 4 strength on a scale of 1 to 5.
The super-cyclone in 1999 that killed around 10,000 people in Odisha was a Category 5 storm.
We, from Prasanthi Nilayam, request all to join in prayers for the safety and well being of all forms of life that lie in the path of this cyclone. Let us pray with One Voice to The Supreme Godhood, our Beloved Mother Sai invoking His blessings with ‘His Own’ universal prayer…Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu beseeching to calm the nature’s fury saving millions from impending disaster.
II Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu II
