A fiesta of Pancharathna Krithis…

As part of their Parthi Yatra, a musical ensemble comprising  of fifty-four vocalists and twenty  instrumentalists consisting of Violin, Mridangam,Flute,Veena and Ghatam will  render Pancharathna Kritis of Saint Thyagaraja tomorrow, Jan 2 evening at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam. This is timed almost to coincide with the 166th Thyagaraja Aradhana being conducted at Thiruvaiyaru in Tamil Nadu.

The group of eminent musicians, who have all assembled here to demonstrate their immense devotion to Bhagawan, consists of two Padma Bhushan and several Sangeetha Kalanidhi and Asthana Vidwan awardees.
