Rama Katha Rasa Vahini – Dance Drama by Hyderabad Devotees…
Saturday, April 13th, 2019
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai, The Supreme Lord Who Is hailed as Sarvadevataateetha Swarupam…during His earthly sojourn had penned ‘His Own Story’, happened in the Treta Yuga, the sacred stream of Lord Rama’s story titled ‘Rama Katha Rasa Vahini’, as it was… in its complete essence. Running into the sacred Sri Rama Navami, scheduled for tomorrow, this evening on the holy eve, the Parthi Yatra contingent from Hyderabad offered the sacred stream under the same title, ‘Rama Katha Rasa Vahini’ in the form of dance ballet at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam.
The programme commenced at 1730 hrs. with melodic, beautiful dance and song sequences, streaming through for a full hour, cascading episodes many from the sacred life that was…is… the essence of Dharma. The evening episodes include Young Rama’s meeting with Guru Vishwamitra, Bala Ati Bala episode, fighting the demons many, Sita Swayamvaram, Rama in exile, Demon Mareecha comes in disguise to Mother Sita at Dhandakaranya, Sabari’s devotion, Shoorpanaka’s humiliation at the hands of Lakshmana, the epic battle, and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam… etc.
The ‘Rama Katha Rasa Vahini’ is undoubtedly the truest version of His Story, as it was penned by HimSelf, narrating His Own Story. The drama this evening had pointers, as mentioned by Bhagawan, that the Divine Couple, Sita Ramachandra, was very much in the know of the drama being unfolded. Before the ‘Mareecha-disguise’ episode, The Lord tells His Consort that now it is time to get into act now, as it is needed for the absolute good and thus the episode leading to The Divine Mother’s captivity. Similarly, after suffering untold humiliation at the hands of a furious Lakshmana, Shoorpanaka who came in the guise of a beautiful maid to lure Lord Rama, goes back to her brother Ravana, wailing incessantly, hailing the beauty of Mother Sita. At this juncture, Ravana thinks of himself, of jumping into the fray, knowing very well of the great good fortune awaiting, of fighting and dying at the Hands Of The Lord. A Divine Drama with lessons for posterity, for the highest good of creation at large.
Bhajans by the Shivam troupe continued and the session concluded with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
Earlier in the morning, 750 strong devotees from Tamil Nadu, in Prasanthi Nilayam for the Tamil New Year, participated in a Gayatri Homam conducted in the Poornachandra Auditorium. The session concluded with Maha Poornahuthi followed by Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
